Molly Campbell, Co-Artistic Director

Molly Campbell is originally from Upstate New York. She has a diverse background in the field of dance including performance and choreography in concert dance, professional sports venues, musical theatre and movement therapy. Molly attended the University @ Buffalo, where she spent time studying Dance Movement Therapy, working with Autistic children in specialized environments, and receiving a BA in Dance. Molly is a former professional cheerleader for the AFL, Choreographer for The UB Dance Team, and Artistic Director for the Greater Buffalo YMCA Dance Series.  She has previously spent her summers as a Dance Director for Island Lake Sports & Arts Center in the Poconos and continues to choreograph and consult for cheerleading and dance teams across NYS.  Molly currently performs and choreographs with The Movement Collective where endless creativity, artistic support, and unique interpretation is greatly encouraged. Her most recent credits include: The Regina Opera Company’s Die Fliedermaus and The Movement Collective’s GO!,  …crash of tides, TANGLED!, From the Ground, and Continuum.   Master class lists include: Limon Dance, Giordano Jazz Company, Doug Varone, The Pulse Factor Hip Hop Tour. She is a staff member of Young Dancers in Repertory, working in Arts in Education and Afterschool Enrichment Programs. Molly has adjusted to and loves the New York City lifestyle and thanks her family and friends for all their love, support and encouragement.

Renee Gonzalez, Co-Artistic Director

Renee Gonzalez grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and began dancing at the age of four.  At the age of 18 she attended Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, CA, and under the direction of CatherineMarie Davalos she received her BA in Performing Arts with an emphasis in Dance.  Throughout her 4 years at Saint Mary’s College she studied the Humphrey-Limon Technique as well as the Cunningham Technique.  She went on to perform with the Davalos Dance Company, a Modern Dance company based out of Berkeley, CA.  During her time performing and choreographing with the Davalos Dance Company she performed at the ODC Theater in San Francisco in Pilot and Flight performance venues as well as in Works in the Works in Berkeley.
 
Since moving to New York in April of 2005, Renee started working in collaboration with two other choreographers and formed The Movement Collective.  The Movement Collective had it’s first performance with Open Floor Dance at Dance Forum in March 2006 and since then they have gone on to self produce two shows per year.  Since the inception of The Movement Collective, Renee has had the opportunity to experiment with her own choreography as well as experience the choreography of other talented choreographers.  Currently, Renee Gonzalez is a graduate student at NYU in the Steinhardt School of Education under the Dance Education program.  She looks forward to her new endeavors in dance education in the public schools.

Maggie Chapman

Maggie Chapman holds a B.F.A. in Dance from Stephens College.  She has been a choreographer and performer in the Steffin Nossen Annual Choreography showcase.  She was also a guest soloist for the Master's School Martin Luther King Day Celebration Assembly.   She has been a choreographic assistant to Tricia Brouk, most recently on a play and benefit for the people of the DarFur that was performed in May 2008.  She has also been a rehearsal assistant to Jacqueline Bird.  She is looking forward to being a guest performer with Malleable Dance Theatre in June 2008 and securing a spot within the company in September.  She has performed works by Tricia Brouk, Anna Sokolow (as reconstructed by Jim May), Nancy Lushington, May O'Donnell (as reconstructed by Nancy Lushington), Deborah Carr, Mary Rotella, Lars Rosager, and Richard Havey.  A new face to the dance scene in New York City, she looks forward to performing and choreographing for many years to come.


Michelle Cole

Michele Cole is a dancer and personal trainer in New York City. Performances include works by Anna Sokolow (reconstructed by Jim May), Deborah Carr, Sandra Kauffman, Mary Rotella, Karen Baker, and Jan Miller. As well as Elojes Dance Theater's production of "The Time Machine" and The Steffi Nossen School of Dance Choreography Showcase.  Michele earned her BFA from Stephens College and is excited to be performing with The Movement Collective. Thanks to her husband, Jared, for being wonderful and to her family, friends, and teachers.

Stefanie Cusumano

Stefanie Cusumano- 24 years old, born in Woodhaven, New York. Started dancing when I was three years old, and never stopped. Graduated High School from Valley Stream South, Long Island. Went to Nassau Community College for three years received my associates in dance, and then went to Queens College for three years and graduated with a bachelors in dance. Took class with Marshall Davis a world famous tap dancer who performed in Bring in the Noise, Bring in the Funk, and was a guest tapper with Savion Glover on Dancing With the Stars. Performed and helped choreograph dance shows for two years to raise money for Cancer Care Patients and they're families on Long Island!

Morgan Fogarty

Morgan Fogarty, from St. Charles, IL, began her formal training at the St. Charles School of Dance under Annette Lawniczak, Kelly Delprincipe and Judith Chitwood in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap and Horton-based modern technique. Morgan performed in Freespace, a modern dance festival based in St. Charles, from 2001 until 2006. As a Dance major at the University of Kansas she had the pleasure of performing works of Patrick Corbin, William Whitener, Kate Skarpetowska, Wally Cardona, Jose Limón (reconstructed by Sarah Stackhouse), Carl Corry, Niurca Marquez and the wonderful KU dance faculty. Morgan’s choreography was shown at the American College Dance Festival Midwest Region and in the University of Kansas Dance Company Performance in 2007. In New York City Morgan has worked with the Stone Depot Dance Lab and now looks forward to dancing with The Movement Collective!

Remi Harris

Remi Harris, from Brooklyn, NY began her love for performing as an ensemble cast member in her high school production of “Into the Woods”. She then ventured into the world of dance, studying ballet, jazz, and modern with Roberta Raymond and Patricia Dye as well as attended the Covenant Dance Studio studying under Marla Hirokawa and Suzanne Lemon. Ms. Harris currently resides in Brooklyn, NY and recently received her BA in Dance from Hofstra University, where she studied with and performed works by faculty members including Lance Westergard, Robin Becker, Stormy Brandenberger, Amy Marshall, Maxine Steinman, Karla Wolfangle Diane Lichtenberger, Rachel List, Cathy McCann-Buck, Columbine Macher as well as guest artists, Larry Keigwin, Peter Pucci, Ellen Cornfield, Gloria McLean, and Laurie May.  Ms. Harris began teaching all styles of dance including creative movement and hip hop at the New York Dancer Studio in Levittown, NY, It’s Dance! Studio in Jamaica, Queens and recently taught for the OASIS day camp summer program. Ms. Harris recently performed as a guest artist with Lorena Egan Dance Company and The Movement Collective, both based in New York. She is extremely excited to join the incredible staff here at the Cynthia king Dance Studio.

Holly Jarboe

Holly Jarboe is a life-long dancer!  She has danced for over 20 years!  Holly is a 2006 graduate of Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri where she earned a BFA in Dance.  Holly has studied under Mary Rotella, Karin Baker, Richard Havery, Kyle Craige, Jim May, Gail Gilbert, Luis Lara Malvacias, Jane Miller, Lilian Morales,  Jimmy Hao and numerous other dancers and choreographers. Holly has been a featured performer in several regional dinner theaters and has choreographed for Midwestern dance companies and theaters.  Holly was recently an extra in a short feature film by Donnell Rawlings (Ashy Larry), "From Ashy to Classy" in New York City.

Jessica Lawyer

Jessica Lawyer graduated with a BFA in Dance from Stephens College in Columbia Missouri. Since being in New York, Jessie has performed with Elojes Dance Theatre, and Steffi Nossin. She recently finished performing in an independent film entitled My Life As Abraham Lincoln. Jessie is very thrilled to be working presently as a guest dancer with the Movement Collective and is looking forward to future projects!

Bridget Rawls

Bridget Rawls began her dance career in Swansboro, North Carolina at the age of 3 years. She then attended Meredith College in Raleigh, NC where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Education.  She was also fortunate to be named as a North Carolina Teaching Fellow and was awarded the North Carolina Dance Education Student of the Year Award by the North Carolina Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.  Through her studies at Meredith College and her attendance at the American Dance Festival for three terms, Bridget had the experience of studying with many noted performers and choreographers.  In addition to performing, Bridget has worked in many different educational settings, teaching children and adults of all ages and physical abilities. Bridget’s choreographic and teaching experiences lead her to become interested in the idea of community involvement in dance. She began exploring ways of bringing dance to a community as a building tool for community growth, leading to an inspiring internship with Liz Lerman Dance Exchange on the national Hallelujah Project in 2002.  Bridget began as a guest performer with TMC in January and has been continually inspired by the creative spirit of these amazing women. She would like to also thank her family and friends for their never failing love and support!

Kate Sedlack

Kate Sedlack  has been dancing and loving it since the mere age of three.  She currently holds her BFA in Dance from Arizona State University, where she graduated magna cum laude.  While at ASU she was a member of Dance Arizona Repretory Theater (DART), the university's performance/outreach repertory company, and had the opportunity to work with artists such as Pablo Cornejo, Randy James, Kim Karpanty, and Kiera Heart.  In 2006 she received an alumni summer study scholarship to attend the American Dance Festival.  There she had the opportunity to study with Mark Haim, Ishamel Houston-Jones, and Lisa Race.  Currently she takes class at Steps and Dance New Amsterdam.  This is her first season with the Movement Collective and she is thrilled to be part of the company.  It is her NYC choreographic debut and she thanks her family and friends for their continued support.  Peace, Love, and Dance!!
